11/16/07 (10 mos. 3 wks 1 day)
I cut my 5th tooth (to the right of my front right top tooth). This one was a breeze compared to the last ones. Now I have 2 teeth on the bottom and 3 teeth on top.
Mommy, Daddy & I went to Kidcity today. It's a museum in Middletown where kids can run around a play in different exhibits. I walked all around in my new shoes! This was the first time I went out and walked around in shoes.
I would have to say my favorite was the Seacave exhibit! I loved looking at myself in the mirrors, and I ran all around the place, laughing like crazy; at least until I fell and his my head on the wall. That was very upsetting but Mommy and Daddy took care of me. We definitely have to go back again and play.

Where's the sign up sheet for that marathon! I hardly ever crawl anymore....why crawl on all fours when I can steam through the house on just my legs? Mommy and Daddy have taken videos of me but I think they are doing something wrong because the DVDs won't play.
Walking is definitely more exhausting that anything I've done so far (except maybe birth). It doesn't stop me though. Today, I walked around the house most of the day. When Mommy tried to corral me in the living room, I walked around in a big circle as I watched Dora the Explorer.
I get really tired midday but I only nap for about a half an hour (if at all). I've got way to much to do - I can't waste my time sleeping when there is so much going on! For example, I saw a baby (or was it me?) in the window tonight. I kept waving to the baby and the baby kept waving back at me. It was great fun!

I’m becoming a walking machine! Okay, I’m not signing up for any marathons yet but I walk a couple feet to get to different parts of the living room. I can even carry heavy stuff as I walk. Now, this is cool!

I walked 2 or 3 feet to Mommy! Nonnie was there and she was yelling and smiling so I think she’s happy. I’m on my way now! I can totally handle this vertical thing.

I cut my fourth tooth – on top again. This was really bad! I was so upset. I’ve been crying and crying. Mommy and Daddy will sit up with me in the middle of the night when I can’t sleep and it makes me feel loved….but I can’t imagine any other baby ever felt this kind of pain.

I climbed the stairs for the very first time; not just one or two steps either. It was an entire set of stairs….from the first floor to the second floor. It was tiring but so exciting. Mommy and Nonnie were there the first time I decided to go upstairs but I wanted to show off my new skills to Daddy so I climbed the stairs for him when he came home. He was very excited.

How many more of these dang teeth am I going to get? I cut my third tooth overnight! This time it was one of my top, front teeth (the right one). Boy did it hurt! My gums are still swollen so maybe I’ll be getting more teeth soon.
I also started clapping my hands today. I’ve done it before but only a little – now I clap whenever I want to. I’m standing all the time. I stand, squat, stand, sit….pretty much whatever I want. When I want to get around I crawl at record speeds. I’m great at cruising around the furniture though I haven’t been too interested in trying to walk yet…although I do take a few steps to get from one piece of furniture to another.

I’m standing even longer – I stood without any support for almost 20 seconds!!! Mommy and Daddy were sooo excited! Daddy got his camera and took pictures of me with my hands in the air as I was standing there. Yeah!

Now, I’m letting go of furniture all the time and I’ll just stand there for a few moments. Mommy & Nonnie were there today when I kept doing it and they were very impressed.

Mommy, Daddy, Poppy, NiNi, Aunt Rita and Uncle Richie saw me stand for a few moments without support (2 or 3 times). This was Mommy’s first time seeing me. What a rush!

What is going on?!? I cut a 2nd tooth! - Right next to first tooth. I thought it was all over after the first one. How much pain can a poor baby take?

Ne & Poppy were very excited to see me stand momentarily without support for the first time!!! Mommy was in the room but she was working and didn’t see - Her loss. :o)

Daddy saw me stand for a few moments without support. He gets very excited when I do these little things. Yup, I’m pretty sure I’ve got him wrapped around my finger.

Now, I’m standing up in my crib. The first time I did it, mommy nursed me to sleep and put me in my crib – I slept for a whopping 3 minutes before waking up. Mommy and Nonnie waited downstairs while I cried for a whole 11 minutes. Finally (huff) Mommy came upstairs and there I was….standing up in my crib. She could have hurried, you know!

I took a few more steps with the help of Mommy and Nonnie – I actually stepped down the hall a bit with Nonnie holding onto my hands and walking behind me.
8/16/07 (7 mos. 3 wks. 2 days)
I pulled myself up to a standing position. Cousin Emily and Mommy were in the living room and I pulled up on the Chaise lounge on the sectional. After Mommy removed the cushion, it was the perfect height! :o)
8/8/07 (7 mos. 2 wks. 4 days)
I cut my first tooth – it’s the one in the lower front (right) part of my mouth. It was so painful! I am so glad it over. I definitely cannot do this again.

I’m putting the walking thing aside for now. Today, I crawled for the first time! I crawled all the way to Daddy in the living room on my foam alphabet mat! Daddy kept saying how happy he was that he got to see it. Mommy was in the kitchen but came running in as soon as Daddy called. They both seem to be very impressed by me.

I took some first steps with Mommy and Nonnie. Nonnie held my hands as I walked to Mommy. It’s neat being this high but I don’t know how I can possibly get around on my piggies; I mean, really, my tummy is so round, I can barely see my toes.

Today I said “mama” for first time. Mommy was elated so it made me feel good. Of course I said “dada” first - that was a while ago – so Mommy’s been waiting on the edge of her seat for me to say mama. It was getting kind of sad so I thought I’d throw her a bone. :o)
I also began to make an “ooh” sound, and Mommy and Daddy were excited but it didn’t get them quite as excited as mama.

I started creeping but I keep going backwards. I don’t get it! I see something I want in front of me and I go to get it but I just keep moving further away from it. It’s very frustrating!
I can sit myself up. I was lying flat on my back and just sat up without anyone’s help.

I’ve been forming my mouth in a circle. Mommy says it looks like I’m saying a silent “ooh”, whatever that is.

Today, I sat up for the first time. Before this, I was able to sit up for a few seconds here and there but today I learned to sit up all by myself for as long as I wanted. What fun!
